HAS the time of the filming of GRAINES OF HOPER, the Children's Farm school was located in the Hameau des Buis (Berrias-et-Casteljau-Ardèche), an ecological, educational and intergenerational founded in 2003, conceived by Sophie Rabhi-Bouquet.

Sophie Rabhi-Bouquet is also createdice and founder of the Ferme des enfants, a private school without contract on the farm, founded in 1999 on the farm of the Rabhi family in Montchamp.

The development of the whole project has been implemented by and with the means of the association La Ferme des Enfants from 2002.

The Hamlet of Boxwood aimed, from the outset, to:
• build a place including a school, housing for retired people and a working farm, and so

• create a space of intergenerational solidarity, based on respect for others, for oneself, for nature,

• financially support the La Ferme des Enfants school, which is economically fragile like most alternative schools.

A place of life characterized by ecological choices on an agricultural food base and which puts the human, in particular the child, at the heart of its vocation.

Since 1999, based on lived experience, on the human sciences and on recognized active pedagogies (Montessori, Freinet, Decroly, etc.), the children's farm has developed an innovative practice intended to respond as faithfully as possible to the needs of children and adolescents, within a lively and stimulating environment. Located in an active oasis, in nature, among the animals, the Children's Farm offers a setting conducive to discovery, encounters and conviviality.
